Personal
My journey to becoming a therapist began as a teenager when I was sent to a wilderness therapy program and therapeutic boarding school. I was a reckless teenager who had no concept of healthy coping skills or communication skills. This program opened my eyes to ways of being that made me feel more complete and connected to myself and others. The reflective and introspective nature of this program unlocked a passion that I didn’t realize I had. Over the following years, I went through the existential crisis that is more commonly referred to as, “Growing Up.”
My search for authenticity in a society filled with pressure and high expectations created a deep internal conflict that led to more struggling and intense soul searching. These growing pains took on new meaning after losing my father in my early 20s. This loss left me feeling an emptiness that I didn’t know existed and forced me to reevaluate everything that I thought mattered in my life. It wasn’t until I was willing to ask for help that I began to heal and transform. Grateful to have overcome those obstacles, I’ve built my practice on helping teenagers and young adults who face similar challenges develop a healthy identity, build self-esteem, and manage the transition of becoming an adult.

Zander works with insurance via superbill. Clients are responsible for paying for services at the time they are rendered, after which a superbill will be provided for the client to submit to his or her insurance company for reimbursement. Potential reimbursement varies based on each client’s health insurance policy and benefits.
